Extol the Great I am, in all that ye do. Be glad in him for he is a great refuge and a fortress in times of trouble. Firstly, give thanks, for he sent his one begotten son as a sacrifice to atone for all sins so that we may live and not die. He did not do it for his gain, but for the better of mankind, there is no love greater.
Rejoice and be glad in thee, for the Son has risen and come to give new life. Though they devise traps to take our life, The Great I am keeps us safe through divine intervention and righteousness. Yea, though I walk through the valley of shadow and death I fear NO evil (Psalms 23:4). For it is written, God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).
Paul wrote in the book of Ephesians starting at chapter six verse ten, finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Think it not strange beloved, when you are being persecuted without cause. Rejoice, because you, my friend have the light of, The Mighty One. I am crucified with Christ, yet not I, but Christ liveth in me; and the life which I now live by the faith of the Son of God who love me and gave himself for me (Galatians 2:20).
That deceitful serpent Satan knows the good works you are to perform for the Kingdom of Heaven. She places stumbling blocks before us but let us not be so quick to blame everything on the old girl. Sometimes God places setbacks before us, to open OUR eyes. Holy Ghost fire will, sure enough, get us moving. Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ (Philippians 1:6) Stand fast in the Lord and be not moved, beloved. Know that whatever, The All-Sufficient One, starts in you, he will finish. Recognize that God is intentional, and he will never fail.
Do not grow weary while you wait. Stay strong in the Lord. Nothing satisfies the soul and mind the way the word does. That is the bible. Yes, beloved, you must read. Your soul is thirsty for it, I can guarantee it. The word is the only way to strengthen your spirit man/woman. We are under attack, because of our love for Jesus. It is not his will to see us suffer, but the word must be activated for God to move on our behave. Your enemies know this, why don’t you?
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge; because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to Me; seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children (Hosea 4:6) Could your children be suffering because you have rejected the law?
Like many, I grew up thinking because Jesus died for our sins, we are no longer bound by the law, but that is not necessarily true. Jesus himself said in Matthew 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill. There is still a set standard we must live by as children of The Most High.
We serve a God of order. He tells us how to conduct ourselves. Kind of reminds me of being in the military, where they tell you, how to dress, where to be, and what time to be there. The only thing you need to do is show up in the right uniform. We must be like children to enter the Kingdom of heaven and children need instruction. Think of God’s law as a blueprint on how to conduct yourself in a way that is pleasing in his sight.
God’s word is not only good for teaching how to conduct ourselves but there is power in the law, binding power. Declare the word and watch what happens. When the devil tempted Jesus on the mountain top during his time in the wilderness, Jesus told her, Get thee hence Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve (Matthew 4:10). Say this one out loud when your mind is being tormented!
My friend, I am here to tell you that this fight we are in is not easy. We are in a continuous battle and I believe we will be until we are called home. With evil lurking all around us and the devil using everyone from our husbands to our wives, mothers, fathers, aunties, cousins, and neighbors, it can feel like the enemy is camped all around us.
Know this beloved, as powerful as the devil may seem, she still must go to God and ask his permission to bother one of his children. If you find you are being attacked and you are a child of God, it was allowed by him. Rejoice! You are being tested which means elevation! Promotion! Get in line with his will and prepare to be amazed! Peace, joy, happiness, what greater gifts could you ask for. Wisdom, knowledge, and understanding; are all beautiful gifts given by the father.
At this very moment, you may feel alone. You look to your left, you see foe. You look to your right, you see foe. Trust me I know it is tough, but you are not alone! This is also my current situation, but WE are whole! You have a friend in Jesus, and you have a friend in me!
The Apostle Paul tells us to stand, therefore, having your loins grit about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the spirit, which is the word of God (Ephesians 6:14-17).
We are in this fight together and guess what? We are on the winning side! We can not lose! Thirst after God, stay in prayer and read his word. Make your body a holy sacrifice through fasting. This is how we fight spiritually. I have heard before that it is best to start at the beginning of the bible, but I say let us lose tradition and listen to God’s voice. If you are unsure where to start, just open the book of Matthew. It is such a beautiful revelation of Jesus’ time on this earth.
Be strengthen and encouraged through the Lord my friend! The battle is already won, and the devil is already defeated. Walk-in faith and be free from thine affliction. We are made whole!
